Particle Simulation Toolkit

by The Howling Eagle last modified 2007-06-08 12:44 AM

The Particle Simulation Toolkit (PSTK) was originally developed by two colleagues of mine (whity and koos) and myself for the Practicle Course to Computational Physics for Professor Vesely.

The first task was to create a Molecular Dynamics Simulation with Lennard Jones Dumbbells ( = two lennard jones particles "glued" together), but in such a way, that anyone could use it easily and that all the different subparts of the Sim ( e.g. the integrator or the evaluation parts) could be easily reusable.

Second task was a Monte Carlo Sim with hard spheres and hard sticks in the NPT Ensemble ( excuse me for that little bit of Chinese).

So we decided to write a set of classes which would fullfill these tasks, resulting in the PSTK. One can easily change the whole simulation by simply using different classes or by inheritating our classes.

The PSTK is released under the Gnu GPL.

For now the PSTK is only available on our Subversion Server .

The workshop is over by now and the PSTK is fully operational the protocolls and our results will be available here soon.

The full doxygen Documentation is available here
